2024 Hong Kong Taxi Industry Yibin Kaiyi New Energy Vehicle Inspection Group


New Energy Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. invited the Hong Kong taxi industry to visit the Kaiyi Automobile factory in Yibin, Sichuan on April 15, 2024.


Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd. was originally "Qianghu Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd.", a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., which was established in January 2014. In December 2017, it moved to Yibin and was renamed Yibin Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd. Co., Ltd.'. Kaiyi Automobile is the only dual-material vehicle manufacturing enterprise in Sichuan Province that has sedans, SUVs, and MPV models, as well as fuel and new energy materials, and all categories.


Kaiyi Automotive currently has more than 2,400 employees, including more than 70 doctors and medics. The Yibin Kaiyi factory was completed and put into operation in December 2019. The first phase covers an area of ​​973 acres, with an investment of 5.3 billion yuan. It has four major processes of "punching, welding, coating, and totaling. The factory area is 308,000 square meters. The annual production capacity is 150,000 units, and the actual annual production can be 250,000 units. 2020 The first new product "Xuanjie" was launched in June 2020. Currently, there are 5 models on sale, including Xuanjie, Xuanjie Pro, Xuanjie ProEV, Kunlun and Xuandu sedan.


Kaiyi Automobile will build a system with new energy as the core. By 2026, it will complete a comprehensive upgrade to "Kaiyi New Energy" and achieve the annual production and sales target of 500,000 new energy vehicles by 2030.


On the day of the visit, in addition to displaying Kaiyi's four major processes of punching, welding, coating and assembly, the test drive activities of Hong Kong's flagship model were also demonstrated, and exchanges and ride experiences were arranged with current Yibin taxi drivers, allowing all walks of life to Learn more about the various functions and performance of Kaiyi X3 Pro EV.
